Introducing: The Genesis Collection

Amschela was born five years ago as a luxury accessories designer using genuine leather. Who are we today? Today we are a luxury accessories designer using only vegan, sustainable alternatives. What we do has remained the same as we continue to create luxury within reach for the everyday woman, but how we do it has changed. The inner beauty of Amschela is now in harmony with the needs of our planet. 

“What do you have to lose except the guilt and fear of the past?” 

On 18^th February – the first day of our third appearance at London Fashion Week – we let go of the past and moved towards a better future which took shape in The Genesis Collection. Presented to the world at London Fashion Week presented by Clearpay on our Digital Profile, our new six-piece vegan collection was revealed through our SS22 Look Book, alongside editorial photography and videography. After discontinuing our previous leather handbags, the vegan collection signifies our rebirth, made official by PETA verifying us as a PETA-Approved Vegan brand! It’s a true honor to receive this accreditation, and we can proudly say we have reached the first milestone in our journey to becoming a net-zero business.  

‘GENESIS’ (JHEH-NUH-SIHS) 

MEANING = “START” OR “ORIGIN” 

Inspired by the clarity and vitality of nature, as well as an etymological study of the word “genesis” that leads back to the Old Testament, The Genesis Collection is a manifestation of our ethical and sustainable values. It is our largest vegan collection to date, comprised of six individual handbags that each have unique appeal and charm through familiar styles that appeal to the different demographics of women. Through Kiaz, Chae, Zera, Iola, Runa, and Lourdes, we have captured the intrinsic nature of Amschela, as well as the strong personalities of Amschela women.  

Each handbag has been designed with classic styles in mind to prove the versatile potential of vegan materials and their ability to achieve the same excellence as those derived from animals. Featuring shoulder bags, a clutch, a hobo bag, a mini bag, and a pouch bag, the collection has been made using eco-friendly polyurethane, hemp blend, recycled rubber, bamboo, wheat straw, and Tencel cotton. With the use of these vegan materials, along with a touch of Amschela’s trademark features such as faux croc skin molds and a splash of epicene lilac, The Genesis Collection reinvents existing shapes to answers the present needs of the world and opens new doors in the future of fashion.
